Addressing the unique and challenging financial issues facing military families.

Kate on Financial Education

One-on-one, personalized counseling makes real, measurable change in a family’s financial life. Whether you are struggling with money in general, or you have a specific issue, I can help. As an educator, not an adviser, I will give you the tools and information that you need to make your own good decisions. I don’t make decisions for my clients, and I will absolutely, positively never try to sell you anything.

If you’re not sure about working with me, consider these other resources:

  • Free telephonic counseling through Military OneSource.
  • Financial counselors available through your family readiness center.   (Fleet and Family Service Center, Army Community Service, Airman and Family Readiness Center, or Marine Corps Community Service Center.)
  • Personal Financial Counselors available on some bases through the Military Family Life Consultants program.
  • Command level assistance such as the Navy’s Command Financial Specialist program.
  • If you are Navy or Marine Corps, completely confidential financial counseling from the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

Everyone can benefit from an outside look at their income, spending, and long-range plans.  I’m planning to have a Certified Financial Planner look at my family’s plans, if I ever make the time.  It is an all-around good idea.
